GDI, the common term for people who aren’t Greek affiliated. GDI means God damn independent. That term isn’t the nicest. And you know what in the beginning I used it. But if I didn’t choose to be Greek, I wouldn’t want to be called that.

And you know one of my greatest friends at school isn’t Greek.

This girl is honestly such a treasure in my life. I wish all the time she was in my sorority, but you know I respect her choice of not being affiliated. She did try it out and discovered being in a sorority wasn’t for her. That doesn’t make me love her any less.

This girl means so much to me and people who are superficial that judge her because she is an independent are truly missing out on getting to know such a great person.

So while you should cherish the organization you’re in don’t criticize someone who isn’t part of the Greek community. You truly could miss out on some great friends.
